Modify or Cancel a Reservation
Review specific guidelines for modifying and canceling reservations at hotels and resorts within the World Collection.
The following cancellation and modification guidelines are subject to change without notice.
Effective August 1, 2016, after making an RCI reservation, Disney Vacation Club Members have a 24-hour grace period—until the next business day—in which they can cancel a Points reservation with no cancellation penalty. After this grace period, the following cancellation windows apply for reservations made with Vacation Points:

Policies for Last Call Vacations and Extra Vacation Getaways
Different cancellation and modification policies apply for select reservation types. When booking a Last Call Vacation (cash-only reservations booked 2 to 45 days prior to check-in) or an Extra Vacation Getaway (cash-only reservations booked 2 to 540 days prior to check-in), the following cancellation policies apply:
- The 24-hour grace period (in which a Member can cancel a reservation made with Vacation Points with no cancellation penalty) does NOT apply to cash reservations.
- Any reservation booked 20 days or less from check-in is a final transaction. No refunds.
- For reservations confirmed 21 days or more from check-in:
- If the Member cancels by the end of the following day, they will be refunded 100% of the cash paid.
- For reservations that are more than one day past confirming:
- 61+ Days from Check-In: If the Member cancels, they will be refunded 70% of the cash paid.
- 15 to 60 Days from Check-In: If the Member cancels, they will be refunded 50% of the cash paid.
- 0 to 14 Days from Check-In: If the Member cancels, they will not be refunded.

- A modification to a reservation is considered a cancellation and rebooking. Any modification to a World Collection reservation requires an additional non-refundable $95 transaction fee.
- Transaction fees are non-refundable.

Effective March 21, 2011, Members who do not purchase their Ownership Interests directly from Disney will not be able to use those Vacation Points to make reservations for the Concierge or Disney Collections. Those Vacation Points can be used only for Disney Vacation Club Resorts and the World Collection.
