Payments - Frequently Asked Questions

What is a CVV2 and how is it used?

Your Card Validation Value (CVV2) number can be found in one of two places, depending on what kind of credit card you have. The CVV2 on most VISA and MasterCard cards is the last 3-digit number on the back of the card, located in the white signature bar. The CVV2 on most American Express cards is the 4-digit number located on the front of the card above the credit card number.

This number is used to verify that you are the rightful owner and in possession of your credit card.
