Home Resort Rules and Regulations

The Home Resort Rules and Regulations are designed to provide Members with information on using Vacation Points to make reservations at their Home Resort and other Disney Vacation Club Resorts. These rules and regulations also cover the features of the reservation system such as the guidelines for banking and/or borrowing Vacation Points, canceling a Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation and general Disney Vacation Club operations. These rules and regulations are revised from time to time.

Home Resort Priority

Your Disney Vacation Club Membership allows you the privilege and flexibility to reserve accommodations at your Home Resort 11 months in advance of the Check-In date.

In order to take advantage of the Home Resort Priority, all Vacation Points being used to make the reservation must be associated with your Home Resort.

Please note: After you make the reservation, you cannot "switch out" those Vacation Points with Vacation Points from another Disney Vacation Club Resort.

Request to be placed on the Waitlist for a Resort that isn't available. If a Disney Vacation Club Resort is not available that matches your specifications, you can request to be placed on the Waitlist for that Resort.

Submitting a Waitlist Request

You can easily Waitlist a Resort. Just search for the Resort you want and specify your desired dates, room type and the number in your party. If the Resort with all the specifications you requested is not available, simply choose "Waitlist This Entire Stay."

Waitlist requests can be submitted up to 7 days before your Check-In date, although it is advisable that you do so far in advance. There is no guarantee, however, that your Waitlist request will become available. So you may want to book alternate accommodations by altering your Check-In or Check-Out dates or searching for accommodations at a different Disney Vacation Club Resort.

Waitlist requests are active up until 31 days or up until 7 days prior to your Check-In date based on your request. Once you're within that 7-day window, the Waitlist is not available.

If your Waitlisted Resort becomes available, your Waitlist request will be confirmed automatically and a confirmation will be sent to you.

Helpful Hints About the Waitlist:

• During the Home Resort Priority period, you can only Waitlist at your Home Resort.
• You can have up to 2 active Waitlist requests per Membership per Use Year.
• Waitlist requests for consecutive nights cannot be split into separate night-by-night requests.
• Your request will remain on the Waitlist for up to 31 days before your requested Check-In date. If you would like to keep your name on the Waitlist beyond that time, visit the Waitlist Manager or contact Member Services at least 32 days prior to your requested Check-In date.
• Once your request has been placed on the Waitlist, there is no need to contact Member Services to check on your Waitlist status.
• If a Waitlist request is confirmed and you cancel the accommodation 30 days or less prior to Check-In, then the Vacation Points used to book the accommodation will be placed in a Holding Account.
• All other Waitlist requests or previously confirmed reservations for comparable dates will be canceled when a Waitlist request is confirmed.
• You can view, modify or cancel your request at any time in the Vacation Center.
• As a courtesy to other Members, visit the Waitlist Manager or contact Member Services to cancel your request online if you no longer wish to be on the Waitlist.

Remember: Venues with sit-down service are often in high demand and do experience limited or no availability without advance reservations.
